Tool available to reset AIS650 MMSI

Hi Jack,

We have an older AIS 650 that needs factory reset. It stopped working while trying run the Raymarine software to update the vessel name.

If you are still able, please grant me access to the share with the AIS software.

Commercial Class A transceivers also can only have their MMSI set once. The only exception to this are those destined for military vessels, in which case they can be reprogrammed at will.


The funny part with the regulation is that on my Class B unit, all the static data other than the MMSI (vessel dimensions, antenna location, name, callsign, vessel type, etc...) can be changed at will. I personally have a Vesper XB8000.

Hi Jack. Thanks for the files. I setup a WIN XP virtual machine on a win 10 laptop, tried to run the setup file and still get the error 'unable to locate application file AIS Resetter.msi'. Any thoughts?
