Tracks of Cruising Yachts from Around the World

I have recently published a Track Library containing tracks of cruising yachts world-wide. At present it contains about 130 tracks in GPX, PTF and KML formats. I should be really grateful if anyone has tracks that they have recorded, which they would be prepared to let me add to the Library. If you would like to see how the Library works it lives at www.bluesipp.blogspot.com . Tracks in the Library are freely available to all and my hope is that they will be a help in cruise and voyage planning. At present there are many interesting Pacific anchorages but also anchorages in The Maldives, Chagos, Seychelles , Madagascar, Mozambique and South Africa But I should dearly love to be able to offer more!

Thanks Chala. I'm not sure that it's particularly big at present but it continues to grow and I have just added tracks in the San Blas Islands which I believe could be a real help.
When OpenCPN shortly have Google Earth nicely integrated perhaps these tracks could be even more interesting and another step towards Bruce626's goal.
Did you, by the way, manage to lift any tracks from your Raymarine?

No. Raymarine C-Series tracks can only be displayed on C-series multi-function displays. I thought you had found a way of lifting them up for common use?

You can use GPSU to convert the FSH files to different formats. Or I can willingly convert them.

To locate more around the world info you might look at the LATITUDE 38 web site. They list all of the circumnavigations from/and returning to the west coast for the last 100 years. The more modern ones might have GPS tracks available. It lists names dates and boat names. There are a whole lot more circumnavigations than I realized, many of them having gone around twice. No one has gone from Florida to the Bahamas/Caribbean yet?

I have no tracks in that direction yet - I live in hope! After Christmas I shall be adding a track from Moore Haven down to Glover Bight and Punta Rassa and out via Naples Bay, Keys and Dry Tortugas across to Mexico in case any part of that may be a help.

Not exactly sure of how you wish the data to be sent to you....but I have my tracks, from my two most recent Atlantic crossings in 2007 (both directions), posted here....
Please use them as you wish.....
(although, do remember that unlike many "trade wind routes", the track of an Eastbound Atlantic crossing varies greatly because of weather...)
