Looks like the south of England is going to get whacked tonight!! Not a good evening to cross the Channel. Might want to put some extra bumpers out and a couple extra lines.

The only consolation is that the shelter is really good way up the Hamble where my boat is. I would sure prefer to be on board, however . . .

I would doubt that the boat herself is in any danger, but the canvas may be a different matter . . . .

Gale warnings are up on Lake Superior for tonight. I just ran 30 miles under the lee of the Keweenaw Peninsula this morning (dive boat.) It was cold (2 C) and choppy. Heavy snow showers on the way to the boat. Love this weather!!!!

I have friends in Normandy , powers give out etc , wild there at the moment. It looks like its focusing on northern France.

( and the Hamble river .... No out kidding )
