best offshore lifejacket?

We recently purchased our cruising sailboat and are in need of new life jackets. We have been looking online and so many options on type, price, etc. Wear can we get a reasonably priced good offshore life jacket? Type etc.? help?

Offshore I like comfort. Preferably no life jacket then.

Neoprene jackets when it is cold. When it is hot, I will skip the jacket and wear the harness only (no trunks).

On the inflatables, I remove the auto on mine before our crossings.
