Chandlers Return to Sailing after Pirate Horror

This is what the reality of dealing with pirates looks like. Unlike what all our Rambo contributers would have you believe.

http://bwsailing.com/cc/2012/07/04/c...pirate-horror/

You sail im these waters you end up dead, kidnapped for two years, or extremely lucky and carry on. Either way, sailing in these waters is no better than sailing somewhere and leavng a dirty wake. By presenting ourselves as targets we in a small way perpetuates these attacks.

Besides just the safety issues we should in effect "boycott" these areas to ensure there are no yacht targets until it is resolved.

Youre right Gord, i neglected to say how impressive it is that they survived the ordeal and decided to carry on! Great sailors with great support and families...
