Hi,

I've had DAN Boater for years.

This trip, I chartered a larger boat in the Bahamas and my 3 adult kids and their kids are having a family sail.

They carry medical insurance.

I'd like to provide "just-in-case" evacuation coverage for the family. Must I purchase 4 separate policies? Or, is their a trip blanket coverage I can buy???

Check their website or, phone them. They used to have a "family plan". We bought this for the two of us - very reasonably priced and very effective. As noted above, my wife fell on the dock and broke her knee cap. She could have had surgery in Mexico but the recovery time would have meant a long stay in on-shore accommodation. Our family doctor recommended having the knee stabilized and having the surgery done back in Canada. DAN covered the airfare for her (3 seats to provide space) and for me. And, ground transportation to and from the airport. They were incredibly efficient and effective organizing the flights etc.

The DAN Sailor coverage that provided the above was US$100 in 2018. It has gone up slightly since then but we continued to use it up until very recently when we brought our boat back to Canada.
