desalination

I just opened up my old avon liferaft to practice getting in and out. It was too old to get recertified, and leaks. The packaging included some minimal supplies, but it also contained a 2 liter urine bag. Is this intended to be used as a desalinator? If so how do you use it. As there was just a couple of band aids and a few bags of water i obviously didn't have a full medical kit, so a urine bag makes no sense to me. For my new raft I have some desalination pouches - which are single use. But I would still like to know if there is an easy way to distill sea water using the urine bag???
