MOB alarm system and locators

I would think something like this exists but I am failing to find it on Amazon.

I am looking for something that will set off an alarm if it is gets too far from the base station. IE, Boat is 44' long so at 50' it goes off, or 25-30 feet if base is dead middle of boat, whatever. Must also be able to be attached easily to a dog as well.

I see some products by ACR on Amazon but I don't think it uses a base station with an alarm to detect when the unit is too far away from the base station.

I don't have to order from Amazon but it makes it easier as I am in SE Asia right now and can have everything shipped to a logistics company all at once.

While I am asking, does ACR make good stuff? They also have personal locators and EPIRBs on Amazon.

Did you ever decide on a product? I am looking for the same and was disappointed that you didn't get any replies.
A couple of years ago, I saw a system on a boat that used a base station and small dongles that attached to crew members w/a set perimeter. They referred to it as a proximity alarm but I cannot find that product on-line.

I have been looking for a system that combines a POB alarm with an AIS transmitter. Doesn't do much good to know someone has gone overboard if you can't find them when they do. So far I'm coming up with zip and will probably end up using a combination of the 2 systems.

Some AIS personal alarms include a VHF DSC alarm, and all of them should trigger the chart plotter alarm when it receives the POB AIS signal. Not so sure you would also need a proximity alarm.

Yes, that's the concept but I wouldn't trust that particular product in a marine environment. Not with someone's life. I have purchased 4 ACR OLAS tags that work off of an AP. You can also purchase a base station. I'm going to get familiar w/the TAG / Ap system and see how I like it before going in any deeper w/ACR.

This is what I ended up going with. I will buy the personal GPS EPIRB type units as well, however I am currently in The Philippines and my boat is in Phuket, so I have to buy there because shipping GPS stuff is sometimes difficult and can get locked in customs.

I found several systems’ based on waterproof bracelets giving an alarm on a smartphone app on the boat. Is this what you are looking for?
