Mosquito Screens - How to Insert Correctly ?

I can't seem to get the mosquito screens to fit in the portholes of the boats I have been chartering. The screens appear as if they should fit exactly into the opening, but I can never get it to set in completely. They seem just a bit too large or something and just fall out or don't cover the opening completely.

Is there some trick to getting the screens inserted into the opening?

Thanks for any suggestions or advice.

Below is a picture of the two portholes I had trouble with on a Beneteau 323.

Seems to me I've never found a set of screens that actually fit properly. I think when they are new maybe they do but after a while they shrink or deform. I have 8 ports on my boat, none of the screens fit properly there either. I'm going to build a new set someday, if I ever get round to it.
