Tsunami Warning Issued This Morning For Parts of NZ Coast

"A large quake off the coast of the Loyalty Islands east of New Caledonia has prompted a tsunami advisory warning for parts of New Zealand." 5:44Hrs NZDST - 1 News

Hoping all is well and no damage to life or property. Anyone got any further news about this? Experiences?

Our boat is currently on the marina at Tutukaka, and I called them just before 8 am as soon as I learned of the warning. Just a little surging but nothing serious there as of that time anyway. Any surge was expected to have arrived sometime after 6am as I understand it.

@ Kerry 1:

Turns out the tsunami height at NZ's Great Barrier Is. was the same as it was at Lenakel in Vanuatu. .04 ft. Not even in meters!
