Spinlock is what I wear. They supply most of the crews that race on the Ocean Race ( Volvo Ocean Race ) and Vendee Globe etc.
They have integrated harness. light strobes, lumon blader illumination and you can attach a MOB1 from ocean signal to it.
They provide maximum free movement when working on deck. Light and comfortable and also cooler in warm weather.
I have the Spinlock Vito. 2 years of wear and it stil looks like new. I used the older Deckvest for almost 10 years and never had an issue with it.

A comfortable life jacket is a life jacket that you will wear. A non inflatable is not comfortable, bulky, hot. Restricts movement to much. Most end up in a locker.
I understand you question the reliability of inflatables. If you follow manufacturers instructions and care they will work accordingly.

Whatever you choose, it only works if you wear it.
