Anchor Rode/Chain Considerations

Has anyone considered or even used one of these links for an anchor rode connection or addition. It’s tempered and coated. And one could use a SS roll pin.

If it is rated similar to the ratings of the chain and okay for salt water then the issue would be getting it over the roller and forget using a windlass.

What would be the point of using a non-galvanized, non-marine, awkward, gypsy unfriendly item like this when there are good alternatives that don't have these drawbacks?
