Arnold's Boat Shop

Any one had some dealings with Arnold's Boat Shop, an on line boat supply company?
I recently ordered and paid for an item and received an email that the item was not available and if I would like a refund or credit instead.
I went for the refund, long story short a month later no refund, all I got was an email saying that "we are working on your refund"

Anyway, after doing a bit of a search I found the company name was
de-registered in 2021, their current website does not list a contact phone number, business address or an ABN number either.

After searching Product Review I noticed a number of very unhappy customers waiting for goods or refunds.

If you intend to buy from this 'trader' I would suggest caution.

Re: Arnold's Boat Shop

Well it’s now June 2023 and the ‘new’ owners seem to be running this shop in the same manner as the old one. Almost impossible to raise them on the phone, and don’t return phone messages, won’t respond to emails at all.

I’d say the new Arnold’s Boat Shop will soon be going belly up as well. I only have a little under $600 on order, but I’m sure others will loose out big time.

Re: Arnold's Boat Shop

Hopefully, you paid by credit card. Call the credit card company and dispute the charge to Arnold's Boat Shop for non-delivery.

Refunds in those situations are almost automatic inb the U.S. I assume it's the same in Australia.

It won't take many of these complaints for the company to lose its ability to accept credit card payments.
