Dinghy wheels

Has anyone found dinghy wheels that fit the aluminum transom of the Highfield RIBs ? I have the 260 model (8.5 ft.).
The issues are ; the hull extends 3/4 in. beyond the transom, and there are lifting rings welded to the top edge , a couple of inches in from the tubes.
Most wheels seem to be made for “flush” surfaces without the need for extra mounting pads.
Has anyone used the “Beachmaster” style? They look like they might work.

Thanks, Jeff

Re: Dinghy wheels

We have the style shown in the picture below and they clear the lip you are talking about fine without any mounting pads, etc. Just bolted straight to the transom of our Highfield 310. They aren't the greatest wheels, but they were what was available and they do fit on the boat. Beachmasters would be nice (real pneumatic tires), but I haven't tried them on our boat so can't answer directly about them.

Re: Dinghy wheels

I have a portabote with a big lip to clear for the wheels. Went to industrial plastics place and got some solid stock for spacers. Talk to the vendor about uv resistance. Unless you plan on only using it on hard sand beaches get big inflatable wheels. We learned that the hard way. The Danardmarine units work without sliding pins in and are favorites here in Pacific Mexico. Good luck especially if you’re new to surf landings in a dinghy...but that’s another story.
