Helm seats

We have been researching Helm seats. Good Grief! Stidd seats seem to be on all the “high end” boats. Is there not a comparable seat but not with the “name” and the $$. What makes Stidd so valuable? Will I have better weather? (Joke)
Tired of the “cheap seats” that fall apart after 2 years.
