Kudos for Never Monday

I have tried a couple of local mechanics without being real comfortable.

I have found Never Monday's (this forum) advice and comments to be spot on.

I needed both engines overhauled but since I wasn't close to him figured he wasn't an option.

I contacted him anyway and he said he would come to me. The job is now done and I am very happy with the results.

Not to say that everything ran flawlessly, he had a couple of problems with parts out of stock or out of print from Volvo, but hey, it's a boat and those things happen. He took it all in stride, never pointed a finger and I am up and running.

If you need a boat mechanic you can trust, I highly recommend him. Here is a link to his web site: Home

It can always be hard to find a trustworthy mechanic. It's great to hear that one of our own members fits the description......i2f

I feel I should expound on the service. Pat actually switched/swapped our engines. One engine had more hours, due to engine driven refrig. So we completely swapped our engines, Perkins,!
Other than the wife saying it was like living in a mechanic shop, it went flawlessly. And he came to our boat as we were on the way south. Whole thing toook three days start to finish

I would like to add that Pat did right by me. I will use his service when I get to his area.

Pat has been a great on line mechanic here at Cruisers Forum for a long time and he has always been good at helping folks with many boat problems as well as helping with discussions. It requires that you not only know what you are talking about but also have the ability to communicate on line and explain things to people so they can understand it too.

Quality boat work is never an accident.

My 2 cents...
I bought my new engine from Pat a couple of years ago, along with some parts for another engine. The price was unbeatable. All arrived when promised. And, what is even more amazing to me, everything was right. That almost never happens
