Mainsai Reefing points

hello ,
I have had a verry bad experience with a Popular sailmaker brand ,i will make a new post with complete review but before that i would like to ask fellow sailors if the boom mast be straight or not , my third reef points have a diference of 30cm and that rises my boom a lot here are some photos please let me know your opinions .

Sailmaker says this is my fault but they dont explain or i dont see why

Re: Mainsai Reefing points

That is the way sails are designed to reef. In the kind of bad weather you would use a third reef, there are big waves. You want the boom lifted a bit higher than "normal" to avoid tripping on the waves.

Your sailmaker built your sail correctly. It is not your "fault" the boom is lifted, rather that is the way it should be.

I concur, that looks absolutely correct. End of boom is lifted as deeper reefs are put in.
