Propane Stoves

I'm looking to purchase a propane stove for our 40' catamaran. I'm seeing a lot of good info. on the Force 10 stoves.

Does anyone have experience with the Dickinson stove? The advertised burner BTUs and oven size look favorable in comparison to similar sized Force 10 stove.

Re: Propane Stoves

Dickinson changed hands several years ago and I couldn't get parts for my 20 year old stove so I switched to a Force 10. No problems in two years of live-aboard use.

Re: Propane Stoves

One of the good reasons to buy a marine stove is they are gimbaled (gimballed?). If you are on a cat you have little use for that feature. Try visiting a recreational vehicle store or googling up an RV catalog. You will be amazed by how much money you can save on stoves (and lights, fans, etc.).

Re: Propane Stoves

I use the 2 burner Dickenson which is very good, but twice the price of the same force ten and twice the quality.
