the showermate exhausts overboard with a power driven blower/fan. If you shut the vent (outside), it will not turn on. I know this for a fact as i did a test when i installed it. If it can't vent overboard it doesn't turn on the gas or the ignitor.

Oh well, guess I'll just stick with my ole Sun Shower. Nothing there to kill me!!

A) My wife advised me that if she was going to spend 6 months a year on our boat, she was NOT going to cook. Gourmet for me is getting to add strawberry jelly to my peanut butter sandwich.

B) We have an Origo alcohol stove (that we love). The only propane on our boat are the small bottles used on our grill.
