Simrad RS35 and Simrad product support

Thoughts - not good.

The N2k function on the radio stopped working 2 weeks after I installed it. I checked that I had the latest firmware etc.

The Simrad number on the Canadian website gives a 'this number is not available' message. Attempting to add the device to my Simrad profile to allow me to file an RMA request also fails, throwing up a bunch of JavaScript errors. I emailed them using the website form and got a one line 'Call our helpline support number' back two days later.

The only way I managed to get technical support was by phone the Lowrance technical support line and getting transferred. They asked me to send it back, which means paying for shipping from Canada to the states.

Bah! Not impressed!
