Some praise for MARINA PUERTO ESCONDITO

I just hauled my 51' Sailboat at Puerto Escondito Marina in Baja, Mexico, and am leaving her there on the hard for the next 6 mo's until I can return to splash her in March. I had tried to find a home for her in La Paz but between her size and the 6 mo's period, I was turned down everywhere I tried. So we spent a fantastic week traveling the 120 mi's up the sea to PE, doing nothing more than 20 mi's or so a day and anchoring in amazing beauty every day.
I want to say how much I appreciated the care and communication I experienced at PE in the hauling of Un Mundo. The manager there, Javier, and the office guy, Lucio, and the yard guys were all excellent in all my dealings with them. The haul out went without a hitch.
As an extra bonus, there is an excellent mechanic and marine specialist, a former U.S. navy guy named Greg Rhett officed there, and I was kind of blown away by all that he knows and is able to do. What a resume!!
In short, I left my baby, something I really hate to ever do, in very very good hands.

Aren't you leaving the area during the best part of the year?

Can't be helped. Have to go do something horrible called work. And it's hot as all hell right now. it will be much cooler when we return although when we do we're setting out for the Marquesas and beyond.
And a CORRECTION. Greg at Puerto Escondito Marine is GREG RHEW , not Greg Rhett. Damned spell correct!!
