Surveyor needed in St Thomas, USVI.

I have made an offer on my dream yacht in St Thomes

Can anyone recommend a surveyor who knows what to look out for on a Leopard?

I am seeking personal recommendations rather than just finding one!

I used Capt Frederick Dalliant who is based in St Maartin for my FP cat, he was excellent he even went up the mast to check the rig. He also sent a 30 page report which was very thorough.
I'm sure he would fly to St Thomas.

If it is coming out of charter, whatever you do, don't follow the recommendation of the charter company to find a surveyor.

Try Geoff Williams (West Indies Marine Surveys) or Bill Bailey (Caribbean Marine Surveyors) both based in Tortola and since they regularly survey Moorings' yachts coming out of charter, they are well used to and know the Leopard series very well.

I'll second the vote for Geoff or Bill. Bill did our survey two years ago and was extremely thorough. Good luck with the purchase.

Try Geoff Williams (West Indies Marine Surveyors) or Bill Bailey (Caribbean Marine Surveyors). They are well used to the Leopard range as they both survey the Moorings' fleet regularly either for buyers or for owners coming out of charter. Hard to choose between them: They are both very good.

They are both based in Nanny Cay and you'll probably have to get her over there for the out-of-the-water survey anyway. ()Last time I tried hauling a cat in St Thomas it was a fiasco and I ended up taking her over to Tortola anyway!)
