West Marine Free Shipping to/from Mexico?

I was considering buying a pump at WM yesterday and an associate told me that if the pump crapped out under warranty it could be shipped to and back from WM at their cost from Mexico. I'm skeptical. Anybody have any experience with WM shipping free for warrantee purposes from other countries?

Cannot possibly believe that would be the case. When I worked for a chandlery over here until last year, even within Australia the cost of return was the customer's. Would be optimistic to expect otherwise.

Having just today spent some time in Mexico to import some parts, you are kidding if you think the guys at West Marine are going to fill out the Custom forms I did today and have any chance of them clearing customs and not getting locked down in Guadalajara.

Page two of their (WM) catalogue shows their Product Protection Plan which exceeds the mfg warranty. Bullet points are Worldwide coverage and No Shipping Fees however I think the final decision is made by the underwriter of the coverage. Calls for enquiry 1-866-927-3118. Sorry for the late info.
