Where to buy materials for sewing marine products UK/EU?

Where to buy materials for sewing (sprayhood, bimini, covers, cushions) in UK/EU?

Canvas, foam, clips, etc.

Also I would like to know where to buy the steal parts of the sprayhood.

I would like to find a place to buy these materials from a supplier in english, and ships to Finland.

Couple of companies I use:

https://www.hawkehouse.co.uk/

https://www.baselinemarine.com/

Not particularly cheap, but always good advice which is useful if you are doing something for the first time and don't want to waste materials.

One vendor is Sailrite at https://www.sailrite.com/ . Also, you can try Fabric at https://www.fabric.com/ . I know these vendors speak English. I assume they will ship worldwide.

Also I would like to know where to buy the steal parts of the sprayhood. There are various stainless steel products (push snaps, clips) but also the s/s tubing. Tubing usually requires professional bending to look good. Available unbent from people who sell s/s products.

Having them ship to Finland, there will be importation fees. I would think it might be less expensive in the long run to source what you need locally. Your own friendly sailmaker may be willing to import what you need for you. Either way, you'll pay those fees.

I would highly recommend you use one of the ptfe threads if what you are making will be exposed to the sun, as dacron thread only lasts about 4 years of high sun degradation. It is not necessary for indoor use. But outside, even things you cover (like zippers), should be sewn with ptfe thread, imo.
