Yet Another Bottom Paint Lanox

Well its not so much a Paint as a grease, We have been using it for years to protect the engine from rusting, revitalizing fiberglass and electronics, But no one has talked about it as a LANOX-mx4 Lanolin Grease applied to the bottom of boats as per Untitled Document I can not open that video so youtube gave me

So I ask is there anyone in the forum who has first hand experience with this? The closest I have come is a guy at work says he worked on a Sydney ferry and before a race they sprayed it with lanox he said it worked so well when the boat was put back in the water they smashed into the dock as it made the boat slide in the water so well.

Well that's what started my search so I am also after info on what else can it be good for just more on the bottom.

The endorsement of this product by a single boat owner is meaningless. Especially when that endorsement comes from a charter fishing boat owner, who are notoriously lax when it comes to hull cleaning. Give me before and after pix of several sailboats berthed in different coastal areas, taken over a year's time, with the Lanox grease on one side of the hull and a quality anti fouling paint on the other. That would be a real testiment to whether the product worked or not.

In addtion to just sitting at a dock with just coating, I think it fair to ask that the boat be moved and sailed a bit.

COuld be the next big thing but...

Re: Yet Another Bottom Paint Lanox

I tried pure lanolin on a propellor once. It was on my Cat, so I tried a full can, multiple coats, of silicone spray on one prop and hand rubbed lanolin on the other. This was in the Carribean. The lanolin lasted longer then the silicone. Neither was perfect.
