New DVD Purchase!

Except for a week here & a week there, I am land locked for the next 24 + - months.
Tonight when i got home from work,I checked the mail box .
In there ,I found a new DVD I had ordered....." AND THE SEA WILL TELL "
Haven't seen that movie for at least 12 years or more.
Not enough time to watch it tonight ,179 minutes ! But one day this week and I will be able to "get away " for 3 hours !!

It's the 1991 made-for-TV movie based on a book by Vincent Bugliosi about the murder of a couple and the theft of their vessel by a young criminal couple on Palmyra atoll. Here's the Wikipedia account:

And the Sea Will Tell - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bugliosi, who as a prosecutor led the case against Charles Manson and his easily-led stoners for the killing of Sharon Tate and three or four others, had become a defense attorney and defended the female half of the murderous couple. It has been posited that Bugliosi wrote the book to assuage feelings of guilt for getting her off.

I will type the liner notes from the back of the DVD:
Alone with her new husband on a tiny pacific atoll, a young woman ,combing the beach ,finds an od aluminum continer, washed up out of the lagoon, and beside it on the sand something glitters: a gold tooth in a scorched human skull.
The investigation that follows uncovers an extraordinary complex and puzzling true crime story.Only Vincent Bugliosi ,who recounted in his successful prosecution of mass murderer Charles manson in the best seller "Helter skelter" was able to draw together the hundreds of conflicting details of the nystery and recount what really happened when four people found hell in a tropical paradise.

Now: a creepy guy with a nice girl friend lands their boat on an island in the pacific and before long ,this really creepy guy twists and turns things ..He is a low life and the people watching this [ you ] begin to form opinions about this low life ...
But its not that simple and the reason I mentioned it here is because there is a good deal of sailing footage ...Sony has the rights to it and has never released them ... They have also not allowed it to be shown on T.V. for about 15 years ,for fears that someone might make a copy

you might want to find it ,,,it was all the rage amongst sailers in the mid 1990 's really a very good movie ,,,plus it has sailing in it !
