Buying Post Irma

So what do y'all expect Irma's damage to so many boats and fleets will do to used and new sailboat market in early 2018? Deals, mine field of concern, or sellers market? Should shopping turn to Europe?

With the devastation and loss of life resulting from this storm, that's what worries you?

Truly sorry for those with losses, but it is a valid question and I'm sure with no ill will intended. Take the question for what it is, just a question. Don't read into it or make it a personal attack. It's not like the OP wished for, or made any of this happen.

I've heard recently that better than 50% of the used boats are destroyed and the charter companies have locked up new boats for next few years. See this. https://youtu.be/A4N-TkpEQRo

Re: Buying Post Irma

As the broker in the video suggested, look to other markets. I would add the USA and Western Carib to his list.
