RAA & SGIC (both SA) and, I'm told, other insurance companies will insure a ferro if you have other policies (home, car etc) with them. Seems the recent tighter restrictions are easing quickly now.

So, did anyone come up with an answer. I'm in NZ and can get insurance but only at $2300 or more per year.

Britskip,
Cost of insurance depends on a number of things. Amount insured for, in or out of survey,age of boat, etc.
We have our boat insured with Edward William Marine for $60K and it cost us $800 for full comprehensive.

I am the same as reg and kerri, 63K and about 900nz a year. a was insured by farmer mutual group in NZ as I already had house cars insured with them already they were 400 bucks a year but only coastal waters.
