French-Built Beneteau 42-46' . . . Bought in US and Brought to Canada

I am in florida right know, and I am looking at a few french built bennys, they are US coat guard registarted........I want to bring back the boat to toronto and I am willing to pay the HST if required, but I do not want to pay Duty.......

they are telling me to register it in delaware..........but I want the boat to come back to canada.

I guess the question is, since it is a french built boat......but it has been US coat guard registarted........is there any Duty and what is the percentage of Duty...

please explain it slow

I just talked to canada customs and in my shoes...............
I would have to pay 9.5% plus the 13%HST

now............if it became an alberta boat, I wouldnt have to pay the HST, I would only pay 5%..................is it possiable to live in toronto and have the boat stay in ontario, but register it Alberta......
