Re: No Broker?

The reality is that there are good brokers and not so good brokers.
A good broker is a pleasure to work with.
A Joe Blow broker can be a nightmare.

If you are a seasoned boater, you can quickly tell the difference, just from your first meeting.
Likewise, easy to tell if someone doesn't know squat.

But, you as the buyer, can also make a big difference. Tire kickers are easily identified, and will get a brush off by a broker, as you are basically wasting their time.
Serious buyers will get entirely different feedback.

You gotta see both sides of the coin here. Sometimes a broker will represent both buyer and seller, other times, one broker will represent seller and the other the buyer, etc.

I don't think there is much difference between a boat broker and a real estate agent. Either are there to assist in making the deal happen as at the end of the day the commission is their income in concluding a satisfactory deal.
Some are good at their job and others' not, but you as the prospective buyer, also need to do your homework as you will be an integral part of the negotiations.
