Offshore Insurance for a Self-Built Catamaran?

Does anyone know of a insurance company that would cover my self-built Shuttleworth catamaran for offshore cruising (N. Atlantic). I'm UK based.

The last couple I've requested a quote from ran for the hills when they heard the boat was a self-build...

First of all your boat is not "self-built", it's being build by Elhix Boatbuilding Inc. You'll find that it's a lot easier to get insurance once you've created a company and have that company build your boat. The few pounds you spend on incorporation is nothing compared to the savings you make on your insurance.

With the corporation having no history, no track record, no Lloyd's ratings or inspections during the build process...good luck with that.
