Hi Angie and welcome to CF. I moved your post out of the "Guns Regulations" thread as it is a completely separate topic.

While your post might be fine in Regulations and Red Tape forum I chose to put it in the Dollars & Sense forum where there are a lot of topics about making money while cruising.

Good luck with your question and once again welcome to CF.

Welcome aboard, Angie. What type of yacht business are you trying to start? Brokerage, electronics, detailing, etc.

Angie, in most states you'll have to apply for an "occupational" license at the very least. Also depending on what you intend on doing in the industry, you may be required to have other "certification" and/or educational requirements. You'll have to be a lot more specific about your intentions and location before more definitive replies can be offered.
