Survey Company Recommendations

First of all, what a great site! This is my first post.

Who would you recommend around Charleston/Folly Beach, SC to conduct a survey?

The company I thought I would use, I'm not sure I can trust. Yesterday I looked at a boat they had surveyed a few months ago. They had rated the boat Above average care and equipped with extras. The boat was rough as can be. Needed glass work, wood work, new paint, and on and on. Survey said had a running light out, and needed new flares. Drove five hours to spend 5 minutes on the boat.

But, while there, we walked the marina, and found a boat we think we'll buy. The latest survey was almost three years ago, so going to get a new one.

Recommendations?

I've used Bob Turner (Kelsey & Turner Marine Survey) several times and have always been pleased. He works both the Annapolis and Charleston areas, and lives in Pawley's Island. His email is kiva46k@aol.com and
