Hi!

You are right. In Croatia there are several honest and professional brokers and quite lot of substandard. There are thieves as well. We have client from Australia who was cheated for 5000 Euro down payment by foreign broker operating in Croatia. Our colleague lawyer is handling case.

We are surveyors as well and i will not comment our competitors. I can say that we are "Simply the best" :-).

Service companies list for Split area is not accurate. Poljomar is one of the best Volvo Penta and Yanmar services. Missing Nava who is Volvo importer for Croatia and service station. Missing Antarktika who is aproved service for the most of electronic equipment....

Hi there. We don't have personal experience but were recommended by another kiwi boat to consider the services of A1 Yachting - a consortium that provides a range of services in the Eastern Med. apparently they provided great service in sourcing parts, labour and even medical help. I see they offer brokerage too. Could be worth exploring. We have used the services of La Pinta in Montenegro and found them professional. Our catamaran (Murihiku) is on the hard in Bar.

Just did an internet search and there were three links for surveyors yours being one of them, as for the dealers list i found that on a croatian nautical forum and it might not be current but it still lists some contacts.

As for the part of your post i know who they are but i wont tell you...i shall abstain from commenting.

We have a boat in Croatia (ACI Vodice) and I must say that Nava in Split is one of the best (prolly the best) service / repair centers I have been to. wonderful people, very knowledgeable techs and helpful !

This summer we had some issues with our engine (VP common rail diesel) as our dutch Auth. service center really screwed things up. Everything was fixed properly by Nava in a few days (ordering parts took the longest) and we could continue our vacation

Try EuroMarine in DUBROVNIK. We did not have a survey done there but we had a lot of work done there and they can do about anything you want and wow what a great job they did for us. They all speak english and are incredibly knowledgable about boats and what makes them tick.

And they are honest and very foreright on their comments. If they can not do it they will tell you. We could not have been happier with their work, attitude and ability. After they finished with our boat it was the best conditon she has been in in years.

Call Zarko at EuroMarine dubrovnik and tell him SoulMates recommended him. And no we get nothing out of this, we are just very satisfied customers.

Talking about Maritimus Consultant as a Surveyor is useless. They tried to act as a Surveyors for pleasure crafts but their background is profession of Merchant Navy Engineers. They don't have a clue about the Motor yachts or sailing boats.
Theay only advetrise their selves well.
