Dear all,
I am a NY resident, boat is registered out of state and is in NY state for less than 90 days/yr. The rest is spend in other states (Maine/RI/CT etc). Is this relevant or irrelevant for use tax?

Generally you will not be liable for use tax in NY if you use it less than 90 days. It may be necessary to prove that with marina, fuel, maintenance receipts from other states.

The 90 days is not necessarily so. Check NYS law concerning if you're a resident.
