Marine Insurance Agent

I often see posts asking how to make money while out cruising, so here is a possible answer for one of you! Being a marine insurance agent is a great way for the cruising sailor to generate income.

Please note: Insurance is not for everyone. Candidates for this position must possess the following qualifications:

• Have a current Property & Casualty Insurance License
• Have access to a good quality internet connection (like Starlink)
• Possess excellent reading & writing skills
• Have a strong attention to detail
• Be an expert with Outlook, Word, and to a lesser degree, XL
• Enjoy talking or emailing with other cruisers
• Maintain USA residency
• Must not have any felonies or convictions
• Must be a real sailor, with demonstrable boating experience.
