A Fond Farewll

and many thanks, to the many good people on this forum.

My absence may be temporary (I hope so), but there are some disruptive elements on here that I simply no longer wish to be associated with.

Fair winds and calm seas to you all.

Thanks Ribbit for all of your knowledgeable contributions to CF. I have enjoyed, valued and respected your posts. I left for several years myself, mostly for being attacked over using polyester for secondary bonds and/or recommending building using polyester and gelcoat. There are many good members here and many newbies really needing some proper guidance from those of us who actually do and have done the work.
Fair Winds!
Jim

Ribbit,
Consider using the squelch button. (A pre-internet term.)

User control panel, "Edit ignore list" from one of the option settings. You won't see any messages from anyone you put on your ignore list. Poof, they're gone.

Ribbit,

Sorry you're outta here. I do understand, though, there's a great deal of senseless negativity, poor judgment, and insisting one's own opinion is the only right one on CF. I choose not to use the "ignore" button, but I do have to say I had a chuckle at using the "squelch". Perfect!

Fair winds, mate.

Ann

Describes every internet forum out there, not just CF. In fact, on average, I would say that CF has a lot less of this than most. There are exceptions, of course. It's the internet, after all. But for the most part I find the disagreements here to generally remain pretty respectful.

Public debate is not for everyone, though, so to Ribbit... I wish you the best.
