Yes, hoping for stronger winds tomorrow as Prada is not getting any pressure from UK .

Spithill should be able to manage AUS, USA, and ITA accents in English language speech. He and Bruni have been co-helmsmen with Bruni the skipper in this campaign.

Re: America’s Cup - ETNZ launches 1st AC75 (new)

Course E today to avoid the building NE sea breeze that is already gusting over 21 knots at Tiritiri Matangi Island (just to windward of course A). Steady 15-16 knots right now with gusts to 19 knots. Should see some good high speed racing today, hopefully no catastrophic wipeouts. Ineos UK winning two today would be awesome for the series.

Re: America’s Cup - ETNZ launches 1st AC75 (new)

While I was rooting for the Brits....I gotta give it to LR.....they sailed a near flawless race and their boat speed seemed to be marginally quicker than the Brits..after the start in the first race, their victory was assured from the git-go...in race #2, I thought the Brits might make a go of it, but alas, once again, I think boat speed was their demise. Watching the two boat speeds simultaneously, it's quickly apparent the Italians have the edge in boat speed, so the Brits obviously need to address this to stay in the game...5 more races to go...to clinch victory for LR...can that do it ????

Re: America’s Cup - ETNZ launches 1st AC75 (new)

As a Scot, I am bias towards UK, but I want to see the best Challenger team face NZ

Yesterday, their was little wind shifts and lighter pressure so that definately favored Italy.

Anticipating and managing wind shifts was to me the most Interesting part of watching AC 2000 from the helideck of a superyacht

Today should be more telling!

Re: America’s Cup - ETNZ launches 1st AC75 (new)

Seems to be just a little bit more speed upwind for LR - Ben Ainslie must attack hard and get on top at the start to have any hope of slowing LR down upwind. Downwind pretty even. Great race 3 by Spithill and Bruni - classic match racing except for a few splits that they allowed.

Rossa got a good start, sailed a blinder with good tactics and just that edge on speed..
Come on Ben get it together..

Damn.. A near take off just before the start followed by an American Magic take off after the start... a 30m lead becomes a 110m lead on the first leg..
Short of a serious mistake Luna Rossa has this one in the bag as well.
