Yes, and despite their claims of it 'filling in' I see it softening from the wind speeds coming off the boats and that's much higher than the 5.5m height that it's measured at on the committee boat.

I'd crash there if I was you. I doubt that there will be racing today.

Think I will.. put it on 'Record' just in case..
Just been watching Race 5 rerun then the Kiwis sitting in the shade looking bored shirtless..
Interesting fact I just heard.. seems Portugal is the only country showing this live bar maybe NZ..

This is one of the big issues TNZ was fighting when one of their suppliers obtained confidential financial information and was aiming to publish it. Dalton was furious and it resulted in a court injunction, a break with that supplier, and resentment towards the New Zealand Herald.

The compensation information is highly protected.

that's interesting , what are they hiding?
My guess is that many are working for peanuts and THAT would reflect negatively on their billionaire sponsors

Hi, Pelagic, please post here on a public forum all income you received last tax year.
While you may be okay with doing it, I’d expect most wouldn’t.

If it was me, I’d be happy that my pay was not made public.

Course E - NE probably averaging 8-10kn.

Just in case you weren't aware, there is an official daily briefing posted here: https://www.americascup.com/en/home

And PredictWind gives an overview of the weather both in briefing form as well as wind charts with the courses included:

Briefing: https://forecast.predictwind.com/overview/

Wind Chart: https://forecast.predictwind.com/atlas/#Wind

You'll need to set up the first location to load. Just put in a central location like Rangitoto Island so that you can see all of the courses at once.

With PredictWind you can also run a split screen to compare models.

What a dumb thing to say! This is a poorly considered contribution on so many levels.

You’re aware (aren’t you?) that Dalton has indicated he may, if they win, relocate the next cup away from NZ so that they can earn more money, his comment being that the well-being and future of the team is at the forefront of all his decision-making.

Does that sound like a guy who would pay team members peanuts?

The other teams are continually trying their best to poach ETNZ team members with little to zero success. Remember the nationality clause refers to sailing personnel, not very important, extremely clever background crew.

Does this loyalty sound like people that are being paid peanuts?

None of the sponsors, billionaire or not, have any say on what the members of the team individually earn. What’s it to them? You must be of the opinion that sponsors would pull their money out if they discovered less-than-market salaries. They couldn’t give a toss.

99.9% of people who earn a living do not publish their income. The only incomes that you’ll see published are those of senior executives in public companies or govt institutions where their remuneration is of importance to shareholders or taxpayers.

Perhaps ETNZ doesn’t publish remuneration because it would make it easier for the “real” billionaires (ETNZ is not one of them) to steal hard-won skills. Perhaps they don’t because it actually has sod-all to do with you.

Get a grip, mate.

Noted Cassidy and I apologize!

This is not the thread to discuss so I will say no more about prestige sports recruiting from amateur status

Hope we have a great day of racing[emoji1303]

Re: America’s Cup - ETNZ launches 1st AC75 (new)

It's much warmer here today, currently 26deg so that should help the breeze fill in properly.

Live wind speed from Passage Rock (east end of Waiheke Island) is already reporting 11kn average / 14kn gusts.
