B&G wiring

I have to buy new wiring for my B&G wind sensor but do not remember what model it is (about 5 years old.) and my boat is far away.
do I have to use the specific B&G wiring or any multiple electronic wiring can do? how many wires does it hold?

It depends on the style of wind sensor. What device are you connecting it to?

Three years ago (2017) I installed a B&G Wind/Speed/Depth package on my C&C. This was a Triton system, forerunner to the current Triton2 line.


The cable for the wind transducer had a proprietary connector up at the masthead end and a standard NMEA 2000 connector down at the boat end. Try contacting B&G's support line, they should be able to clarify what sort of cable you need.

Then yes the easiest solution will be to purchase a B&G cable.
I suspect you could substitute other appropriate cable, but you'd still need to add the B&G masthead connector and an Nmea 2000 connector.
