In choice polls like this it is a regular option to allow multiple ticks. Another example would be:

Are you:
- male,
- female,
- below 25 y.o.,
- over 25 y.o.,

I hope this explains my drift.

Barney,
not very PC in this enlightened era, or is that error... You left out '- undecided' and '- both'

Based on the comments in this thread, I would agree. I think the poll could be redone as something like:

What type of boat do you have and how do you use it?

1. Powerboat
2. Sailboat
3. Use other peoples' boats
4. Boat? What boat? Don't have one...
5. Charter
6. Professional mariner
7. Race
8. Cruise
9. Refit/Restore/Upgrade
10. Day outings and weekend trips
11. Short trips of under 8 weeks at a time
12. Short trips of over 8 weeks at a time
13. Less than 1000Nm per year total
14. More than 1000Nm per year total
15. Live aboard LESS than 6 months per year
16. Live aboard MORE than 6 months per year
17. Canals, rivers and inland lakes and water ways
18. Coastal regions
19. Cross Oceans
20. None of the above

It is a lot of choices but may address the unique circumstances that our members find themselves in.

I for one would be 2 , 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, 15 and 17.

You need something between 5 and 6. Call me a 5.5.

I can say with absolute certainly that you should have included #10 as well.
