Custom log

Does anyone know about a custom log ( not transit log) required by Greek customs before putting UK flagged boat back in the water? We can’t find info on this anywhere. Thanks.

I want to buy a older sailboat for cruising. At some point both I, Now 73, and the boat will be getting old. It will become harder to insure an old sailboat once it gets over 50 years old. MY question is could I give an old sailboat away in Mexico or some Central American nation that had less strict laws about insurance and such? It cost a lot to dispose of a large sailboat here in the North East. John

I think you should check with the Customs guys and find out what is expected.

For us, it turned out to a a list of possessions and their serial numbers, including personal items (computers, cameras, etc.) and things like dinghy and motor. Essentially, anything that if you sold it off the boat, customs duty would be due on it.

Rules change quickly, and asking the local guys would be the best way to get it right.
