Hi, I have recently gone to the dark side, selling my Buizen 48' to buy a 60' Selene trawler.
I am, of course, used to sailing according to the winds but I can now do 8 knots in a straight line (yay).
I am leaving from Mackay mid May to explore New Caledonia, Vanuatu, Solomons, Louisiades and back to Mackay by end of August.
Wind/ current is still a factor so should I head north and clear out of Cairns and go clockwise or head straight for new Caledonia and got the other way?
May/ June/ July August prevailing S/E?

Hi Greg and Gord - thanks for your welcoming wishes but I didn't get any advice - should I have worded my post differently?
I didn't know how to place a header so maybe it is not obvious what I was requesting?
