Garmin BlueChart mobile or...

Hi All,

Say.. I have Garmin Blue Chart Mobile on my I pad. Saw a friend on C Map the other day and that looked a little easier and informative. However when I looked at the App it didn't get great reviews. Navionics Boating USA HD did seem to have better reviews but you have to buy it to try it.

We are now currently sailing SW Florida waters and heading to Bahamas later this month. (with a 5'9 to 6' draft) and wondering if there is a better app to supplement my aging (2006) Garmin chart plotter with 2013 as the latest updates available.

Thanks in advance for your experiences with these apps.

BlueChart has been discontinued. You cannot even download new updates. I am looking for a replacement now as that is what I typically used on my ipad.

I loved BlueChart. Especially the active captain interface. What are you using as an alternative?

This is an old thread. Try AQUAMAP as it has Active Captain. BlueChart can still download ActiveCaptain but no new charts. Keep Garmin for Bahamas charts.
