Re: Got a plastic classic?

The work continues, I wired the mast, filled holes around the companionway and repainted. installed main traveler and genoa track. Also got the motor humming along and pumping good water, hopefully the mast will go up this weekend with some help of my friends to see if the standing rigging is the correct length? Fingers crossed. We had a good rain yesterday and only found one leak around a window so I'm pretty happy about that. I wet sanded the hull and got the port side buffed out. will buff stbd side this weekend and add the stripes.

Re: Got a plastic classic?

Ha! Hi Markus, saw your post at the classics group. Yes I know exactly what you mean. I cringe a bit at the word "plastic" every time I use it! For those of us children of the 60s it does NOT have a good connotation, probably never will, and of course there is always the movie "The Graduate" to remind us... "one word!"

Re: Got a plastic classic?

Wainui, What a beauty! Something in the late 1960's, right? It's a little too big a draft for my cruising area, but that is a striking vessel!

Laminating new Hatch Covers

The old aluminum covers would not hold paint for more than a year so it was time to update to Composite units.

Re: Got a plastic classic?

she's starting to look like a boat again, finished the stripes and bilge painting. New battery is installed and the rigging is ready to pick up.
