Wow! Beautiful work! Let's see some sailing shots too!

Re: Got a plastic classic?

Hey Fellow Plastic Classic fans,

Anyone know of a proper plastic classic with full keel or cutaway full keel under 36 feet and displacement of no more than 15k. That also has two aft quarter births or an aft cabin with two crew type births.

I know this is likely impossible to locate but just curious.

Thanks

got an islander bahama 24 that I will let go cheap. ( needs a paint job in and out and new canvas on the homebuilt dodger) ISLANDER BAHAMA 24 sailboat specifications and details on sailboatdata.com
Meets all the requirements. ( I'm tired of paying for 3 slips need to downsize. )

Newhaul,

lol thanks for the offer, I actually do love the I24 or wayfarer 24 or Bahama 24 Great little boats with the perfect layout in my opinion but I forgot to mention we need at least 6 foot of headroom.

I actually put a deposit on a wayfarer 24 in the bay area (SF) awhile ago but its too small for my trailer. Then we found the Columbia 29 and jumped on that and are getting it worked on that now. Bringing her home in the next month and cant wait.

But always keeping an eye out for something bigger for a good deal. I think my budget for a project boat would honestly be less than 10k. I feel comfortable doing paint, no slip, wood work, hatches, electrical, engine stuff, etc. Also the family owns a metal fab shop so I can get all that done well and cheap.

I did add to the headroom with a raised companionway hatch thru the whole main salon still no headroom in the head so I understand all to well.
I will keep my eyes open and an ear to the tides .

Got a project defender for sale to. Just want a 6 figure offer for her first.

those 33's are a thing of pure beauty. With the portlight between the cockpit and the galley it is awesome. ( its just the right size for a small window AC unit. )

One of the (few) negatives about the old CCA boats is a distinct dearth of quarter berths, especially two. One of the notable exceptions is our own C29 (later model) though!!
You’ve posed an interesting challenge, I’m going on a hunt for more.

Very well! I honestly can get enough of those older boats, they are just so beautiful. Exactly what comes to mind when I think stereotypical sailboat is generally a folk boat inspired design. Anyway, I'm preaching to the choir.
