Grab Rail Covers

Hello, I'd like to sew up 4 railcovers for the coach-house rails. Can anyone offer some instruction, as I'm rather a novice at sewing???
Thanks

Re: Grab Rail Covers

Go to Sailrite.com and search through their videos. You will get some info, then you can also go to the sailrite forum, and ask questions. Good website, and their prices aren't to bad, especially considering the info they can give you.

Re: Grab Rail Covers

They are really easy to make. Take a walk down the dock and ask an owner that has covers if you could have a close look. Turn it inside out and you will see how easy it is. Chuck

Re: Grab Rail Covers

I'm signed up to a Sailrite newsletter - doesn't come very often, maybe once a month, but when it does it always has a really good lesson. Usually involving Sunbrella fabric which (surprise) can be bought at Sailrite!!!

Re: Grab Rail Covers

Thanks Saucy, We've already bought a few things from Sailrite, including the brand new, fancy sewing machine. It's in my livingroom and it turns out I have alot more time to sew than does the GF. So,,,it's time for me to stop whining(wining) and start learning to sew. I'll look into that newsletter. thanks for chiming up...
