It's really very simple, the Gun Owners Social Group is a public discussion group within the much larger CF forum where Gun Owners who cruise or go boating can discuss anything weapon related that comes to mind.

If you want join, you will be welcomed. If you don't like the idea of guns in general.... That's OK too, don't join. The goal is to take these sorts of discussions off the main forum.

Members will notice MANY posts have been deleted, including some of my own.

If the post does not directly deal with how to join the Gun Owners Group, it does not belong here. It doesn't belong when one discusses their own firearm, or if one objects to firearms period.

For those who are sailors and have an interest in firearms, whether as a hobby, or other reasons, the Group is an excellent venue for those discussions.

I not only am concerned about guns and cruising, but need to know more about cannons I am a pyrotechnician and plan to purchase a small caliber cannon (50+ cal) mostly for the noise, but I think it would make a nice decoration and conversation piece as well as a potential projectile launcher if necessary.
