Hello guys dropping stuff and trying to sail

Hello everyone. Ive been watching a lot of sailing videos and i decided a while ago thats what I want to eventually do. Ive been on SSI (social security) since I was 17 and have no work history but after becoming interested i decided i really needed to work to be able to afford it. So i am leaving my government housing which uses almost all of my income (Nobody hires a 27 year old with no work experience in my city) and going to live in a shelter. I will then be able to use my income to complete a few ASA certifications before I move to Rockland in Maine - im sort of lucky here because my current city has ASA certification classes. Rockland has a nice boating community from what I can tell. I will simply take a bus and connect with the homeless services in the town and try to find literally any job until HOPEFULLY eventually finding some sort of job related to boats on the port, or even just a job near the port, and from there make enough money for my first own boat. Things get pretty idealistic from here and I have different plans depending on how things go, but ideally eventually id live on the boat and try to make money from photography, chartering, and blogging. Just enough money to maintain the boat and supplies is all id need.

Re: Hello guys dropping stuff and trying to sail

Here you go, Bleak. Beautiful well-made boats and all you'd have to do is fix the engine over the Winter...

Sabre 28 $3,000, Rockland, ME

Sabres are built in Maine. Atomic engines can be rebuilt. Just might be the perfect fit for you. Ask the Owner if he might demonstrate sailing basics for you.

Fair winds and following seas!
