Help with AC

Help with AC
I have a Marine air systems relatively new 14,000 BTU air conditioner heater at this time I cannot get it to go into the cooling mode it does work very well on the heat mode but it will not transfer into the cooling mode, does anyone have any suggestions on a fix

Oh, A/C not AC as in alternating current. Different stuff.

Put it in the cool mode and tap on the reversing valve with the end of a large screwdriver a good Tunk may loosen it up and get it to work.

I’ve had a similar problem with a domestic unit and it was a stuck solenoid. The tapping described above is a first try, and if that doesn’t work replacing it is the fix. Shouldn’t be too expensive.
